Patented Liquid Catalyst and Proven Patent-Pending Delivery to Natural Gas Compressors
Over the past few years, reciprocating engines used in natural gas compression and pumping stations have come under increasingly stringent regulations for NOx and other emissions by the Environmental Protection Agency at the Federal level and state agencies such as Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. There are a large number of these engines in each of the natural gas producing states; it is estimated that Texas has as many as 12,000. These engines are often located in isolated areas and difficult to access. These power sources can be both spark-ignited and compression-ignited reciprocating engines and range from a few hundred to 8,000 HP or more. They are generally equipped with emissions sensors and can be operated under conditions to control specific emissions such as NOx.
During 2009, experiments carried out on natural gas fueled reciprocating engines indicated combustion liquid catalysts reduced NOx measured in engine exhausts as much if not more than observations in liquid fuel engines. Application of this technology to natural gas engines presented a number of challenges. Each of these were solved with engineering and chemical solutions.
We have discovered that patented combustion liquid catalyst administered with JLCC Catalysts patent pending delivery system will allow the engine to operate at required maximum load under lean burn conditions that will reduce NOx production by as much as 75% or more.
